Thursday, July 8th, 2010 08:33 AM EDT
Z-VIEW: Motorsports Authentics, owned by ISC/SMI, is unable to pay driver/team guarantees and, according to SEC filings, has no value. Now, NASCAR, ISC owned, tries its hand. It appears, however, teams/drivers have no choice and must be part of this plan. Unbelievable.

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010 08:59 AM EDT

IRL: Independence Day May Have Been Last At 'The Glen'
Monday, July 5th, 2010 10:53 AM EDT
Z-VIEW: Answers are often difficult, but it seems CEO Bernard wants to increase 2011 sanctioning fees, ISC wants to pay less. Obviously both need money but which blinks first? Unfortunately, fans lose either way. Lose the race or pay higher tix and hotdog prices.

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010 10:11 AM EDT
Z-VIEW: Nothing new, ISC wants to move one of its dates to Kansas 'cuz it's building a casino, most likely from loser Auto Club Speedway. SMI hasn't publicly announced its desires, no surprise there. CEO France stated realignments will consider fans first. Oh really, right.

MEDIA: Will NASCAR Hall Of Fame Survive Daytona's Influence?
Friday, July 2nd, 2010 01:14 PM EDT
Z-VIEW: No secret NASCAR controls the HoF, and clearly orchestrated SPEEDTV's nominee broadcast. But, no HoF staff not even Director Kelley participated. Robin Pemberton awkwardly, passionlessly "read" names from Daytona, not the Hall. Viewers directed to NASCAR's website, not the Hall. NASCAR 'over-involvement' not good.
