Z-VIEW: This past week USF1's assets sold under auctioneer's hammer in Charlotte raising $1.4mm, not nearly enough to satisfy creditors, putting a final end to a promising idea. Co-founder Peter Windsor yet to comment on USF1's demise, probably now working a book deal.

BIZ: Impact Obtained Court Injunction Pending Appeal Process

Z-VIEW: Impact keeps SFI certification for the time being. One issue, SFI alleges owner Bill Simpson directed an employee to buy counterfeit labels to cut costs. Since SFI's March lawsuit Impact says it lost team contracts, laid off 32 of its 82 employees. That's cost-cutting.

Z-VIEW: One of the deepest tragedies ever in stockcar racing occurred Sunday, Raymond Parks died without having been inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame, he was nominated however. A true titan to the knowing. One comment says it all, "Thank you for NASCAR."
