NHRA: Competitors Too 'Long' On Speed Tracks Too Short

Z-VIEW: The national event tracks aren't long enough for the speeds many sportsman, and professional classes are running. So, extend the tracks or reduce speeds. Either solution however is obviously not that simple to execute on, but many say doing nothing is foolhardy.

Z-VIEW: Michelin closer to dropping out to become 2011 tire supplier, and Pirelli has moved closer to securing the contract. Pirelli was viewed as the favorite to secure the contract, but delays in putting together a deal encouraged Michelin to make an eleventh-hour bid.

SMI: CEO Bruton Smith Now Plays Down Date For Kentucky

Z-VIEW: For two years the Lex Luthor of racing bragged he'd get a 2011 Kentucky Speedway Cup date. Now that the lawsuit seems behind him, the fact is, contrary to his current excuses, SMI doesn't have the money for improvements and probably won't for years.
