Z-VIEW: Aggressively hyped by PRI, included 'industry big-names', now it seems Motor Sport Business Forum not returning to 2010 PRI. $1,200 tix didn't fly, nor did projected sponsorship materialize. Just because you run a 'biz show' doesn't mean you understand economics and market conditions.

No need for 'flashy' webpages, spinning logos, high-end design, all replaced with simplicity, easy access. Motorsports marketers will need two-prong strategy.

BIZ: Brickyard 400 Declines Not Good For IRL

Z-VIEW: IMS reaps nearly $10mm in TV revenue from the 400 allowing ticket sales, sponsorships, corporate hospitality, concession to hit the bottom line. However, declines in tix revenue, concessions, parking and ancillary revenue have dropped nearly $20mm, funds that historically subsidized the IRL's existence.
