BIZ: Dover Motorsports Admissions Revenue Drop 17.3 Percent

First six months of 2010, Dover saw revenues drop 8.5 percent, most significant being admissions revenue dropping from $11.9mm to $9.8mm. Mother's Day event instead of traditional week after Memorial Day saw admissions drop 15 percent overall for the Truck, Nationwide and Cup events.

Z-VIEW: Brickyard 400 ratings dropped 13%, drawing 5.7mm viewers, nearly 1mm less than '09. 115k fans attended v. 240k two-years ago. If 2011 ratings tank in relation to 2010, NASCAR will then have real issues. For now, however, it seems numbers leveling to 'pre-boom' years.
